Yoga and Ayurveda for your holistic health and happiness

A weekend of Vinyasa Krama Yoga and Ayurveda with Steve Brandon. Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October 2017.

The wisdom of Ayurveda is integrated to attain optimum health. Yoga and Ayurveda both seek to establish Sattva (Harmony) for health and spiritual freedom.
Vinyasa Krama Yoga is an art form of practising yogasanas, based on the parameters mentioned in the Yoga Sutras. Sri Krishnamacharya taught this method of asana practice in which numerous asana movements or vinyasas are practised in succession, slowly and with synchronisation of breath.

Steve will offer a practice together with the theoretical knowledge behind this approach. An introduction to Vinyasa Krama Yoga will be offered on Saturday morning and this will lead us into a comprehensive practice, including pranayama, bandha, mudra and meditation based on the Yoga Sutras in the afternoon.

On Sunday morning we will chant the traditional Surya Namaskar mantras to accompany our Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) practice prior to Ayurvedic discussion on Sunday afternoon. The mental attitudes and breath control required in Yoga are cultivated within all of these practices.

Steve will transmit the method as he learnt it directly from Srivatsa Ramaswami.
This workshop is suitable for students of all levels including beginners as well as teachers.

Cost: £108 for whole weekend or £60 per day
(50% deposit required to secure your space, lunch provided on both days).
